On Tuesday September 10th the Putnam County Haz-Mat team held a training session at the Garrison Fire Department for the four Philipstown Fire Departments. With over 50 firefighters present for the training the Haz-Mat team showed department members how to stop an active leak from a tank and how to decontaminate members using portable showers. Discussions were also had on lithium batteries and the dangers they present when they catch on fire.
